Growing up as a pastor's kid, I learned the importance of community, love, and generosity from my parents. Our church was a nurturing place where we gathered after service to share food and life advice. This inspired me to create a community outreach and education program that brings people from different backgrounds together to improve and develop our community. By exploring our identities, educational backgrounds, and cultures, we aim to foster connections and a deeper understanding of ourselves and our community. Our outreach program will include a performance and masterclass showcasing the unique cultural experience of New Orleans, with opportunities for attendees to reflect and ask questions. We also prioritize mental health, identity, and inclusivity, and recognize the crucial role that women have played in shaping our cultural experience. Through dance, music, food, and art, we aim to unite our community and make a positive impact.
